Research and Consulting

I am based in Massachusetts and have worked in academic institutions here in Boston, New York City, and in Columbus, OH.

I offer consulting for clinical training and case consultation, scientific communication, copy- and ghostwriting, research, and subject-matter expertise. My specialty areas are in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and CBT-based interventions, severe mental illness (SMI), anxiety-related disorders, and the impact of the living environment on mental health.

I welcome your proposals for speaking engagements, freelance writing, research support, and mental health content creation and consultation.

Highlights of my experience and offered services are below.

My Experience and Opportunities to Collaborate

  • With nearly a decade of expertise in SMI and psychosis-spectrum disorders, I am more than happy to provide single-instance or ongoing consultation for clinicians working with this population. Additionally, I have training in psychosis assessment and differential diagnosis and would be happy to speak with you about a specific case where the presence of psychosis and where to go next may be a question.

  • I have provided expert consulting for entrepreneurs in biophilic design, created education series for patients and trainees in hospital settings, piloted a digital greenspace intervention for anxiety reduction, and published several peer-reviewed scientific articles on issues related to the impact of the environment on mental health.

I am passionate about education and scientific dissemination and know that implementing evidence-based practices in teaching and leadership leads to meaningful and impactful change.

  • I have a passion for the living environment, namely greenspace, and its impact on risk and resilience for mental health disorders. Additionally, I am highly invested in contributing to research on individual characteristics and their impact on mental health symptom presentation and outcomes. To this end, I have lead projects investigating the impact of identity (Asian Americans) on mental health access and treatment and attitudes, use, and impact of social media in relationship to mental health behaviors.

I am open to collaborating on research projects in their infancy through manuscript generation.

  • I love to write and to share my knowledge through prose. I specialize in designing scientific communication across a range of audiences. Be it undergraduates, medical doctors, investors, first graders, or first-time therapy clients— I am highly skilled in producing written materials specifically designed to target audiences.

I have provided subject matter expertise across a variety of academic and consumer-focused settings and generated written deliverables to communicate psychological topics.

Projects include: practice test questions and didactic materials, meditation/mindfulness scripts, training materials, newsletter content.
